To reach the top of Corcovado Mountain with 708 meters high, guests will cross the Tijuca Forest (one of the biggest urban forest in the world) by train, providing a memorable experience as well as great photo opportunities.

From the train terminal, access is via escalators or the 220 step stone stairway. Once at the top, guest will have the opportunity to testify the magnitude of the 38 meters tall monument, inaugurated in 1931. Clear sight, especially in the morning allows a spectacular view of the town southern districts of Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana and of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas close to the Botanical Garden . Sugarloaf, Botafogo Bay, Niteroi Bridge and downtown area of Rio.

The Sugar Loaf is also a classic postcard of Rio and one of the most important symbols of Brazil. You take a cable car to go up the hill of Urca, then to the top of the Sugar Loaf to enjoy the view of the Bay of Guanabara and its islands.

This climb takes place by cable car in two stages.

At first, a climb of 215 meters takes you to the top of the Urca hill. From here you can admire Guanabara Bay and its islands. You can also see the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Hill. Then you return to the cable car to travel the 395 meters that separate you from the summit. From here you have views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz Fortress and Niterói Beaches. This is a different and unique tour designed to discover the legends and stories woven through the narrow streets and old historical buildings of downtown Rio.

The tour includes a visit to many interesting points, such as: Praça XV, Arco do Teles, Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and Candelária Church. The tour will continue along Olympic Boulevard, that was the largest live site in the Olympic Games. For more than a month, the whole world lived with our athletes a historical moment of the sport, with a internal visit at Museum of Tomorrow and then make the last stop at the famous Kobra's mural.

We save about 2.5 hours for our hike & exploration. Once you reach the top of the “Telegraph Rock” you’ll understand why its such a well kept secret — from this altitude you can see all of Rio: Pedra da Gavea, Restinga de Marambaia (an incredible42k sand bar that stretches along the ocean).

FD Tour Petropolis

The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and it's called the Imperial City since the Emperor Pedro II, enchanted by its fresh climate and beauty, bought a large property in 1830. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis keeps the memory of Brazilian history with its buildings and charming streets.

This tour starts with the visit to the Imperial Museum which has been the summer residence of the emperor D. Pedro II and that keeps furniture and objects such as the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II. The tour will continue on the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried along with the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife and then the Crystal Palace on the outside part, built in France and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel. Important: Imperial Museum is closed on Mondays.
